Featured on the new Bad Popes recording Rounders, Knuckleball is a mythologized account of my memories of my grandfather, William Manning Rhodes, who, among other things, was a baseball pitcher in the textile leagues. He pitched for the Union Bleachery in Greenville. He also played guitar, ukele, and harp. He taught me my first Hank Williams song when I was eleven years old. Check out the tune here on the Music page on this site, or on the pop-up player. Also, check out badpopes.com for more songs from Rounders!
